Food Through The Ages

Jan Corlett, who recently earned her doctoral degree in geography, and nutrition professor Louis Grivetti gathered more than 5,000 pieces of information plus historical photos, mementos and documents, to develop this travelling display that chronicles the history of American food through 400 years and 10 major foods.

The Shields Library display, commissioned by the makers of Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing in celebration of the salad dressing's 25th anniversary, will be at UC Davis through Dec. 20.

After completing its tour of major U.S. cities, it will return for permanent display on campus.
