Tribal representatives from several northern New Mexico pueblos visited UC Davis last week as part of a tour of UC facilities. The visit was arranged by the Office of the President to increase pueblo officials' knowledge and understanding of the UC system. The group met with President Richard Atkinson and then visited people and programs at UC Berkeley and UC Davis.

"Most important, we have an increased committment to work with the pueblos and the Los Alamos lab to extend academic preparatory/outreach services to pueblo students in the Los Alamos area," says Rick Malaspina, manager of public affairs for UC lab administration.
